What types of mental health services are available?

Clinton Eaton Ingham County Community Mental Health provides services to families with children and adults with developmental disabilities.  In order to receive these service the child or adult must be a client of Community Mental Health. A pre-requisite for Mental Health Services is the person applying for services is receiving Medicaid. There is an intake process to apply for CMH services. One of the services available is called Community Living Supports(CLS).  CLS services are used to help a child or youth build his or her skills to be more successful in the community. CLS services are provided by aides who can help teach skills of activities of daily living (for example personal hygiene), social skills or other things that are part of the child’s care plan. CLS is also used with older children or adolescents to build skills so that they can become more independent.
