How do I find out about Uber, Lyft and Taxis?

Uber is a ride service that works off an app on your phone.  You need to download the app before requesting a ride.  When you're ready to go, open the app and enter your destination.  Then choose the ride option that best suits your needs.  Confirm your pick up by tapping Request.  A driver will pick you up and take you to where you wanto to go.  You pay by credit card.  No cash is given to the driver.

Lyft is a similar service and operates in the same way.

A taxi or cab is an automobile or van that carries passengers for a fare, usually determined by the distance traveled.  The farther people travel, the more costly the ride.
